There’s a Zulu quote that says “ Inyanga ayizelaphi”, which directly translates to the healer doesn’t or cannot heal themselves.
Sadly, it seems to be true, I’ve witnessed it through personal encounters when healers can’t seek help for their challenges or in most cases they just unable to get a person who’s spiritually equipped to help them.
To some, this theory of being unable to heal themselves may seem unrealistic. However, you can’t be an expert in everything it’s rather impossible.
The same concept applies in healers even when you can sense the detachment whether it’s physical or emotional most times you just don’t have the remedy to ease the pain or even heal it completely.
This often makes me ponder as to who heals the healer?
Unfortunately, I’ve realized there’s no simple, straightforward answer to this question. Spiritual healers tend to be loners, sometimes they get stuck in helping others and don’t have enough time to focus on nurturing their relationships.
When your third eye is open you tend to experience so much that people don’t see and sometimes they could define it as crazy, you tend to build a shell around yourself as a way to protect and maintain peace.
When one is entrusted with being a mediator between the physical and spiritual realm, you carry a lot of energies and spirits that can weigh you down.
When all else fails connect more to nature, mother earth knows her children’s needs she’s gives without expectations and walking bare foot connects you to the soil which is a fertile part of her that produces life through the food we eat, take a walk and pray, when it’s possible visit the ocean, her water is salty just like the tears you cry when no-one sees you she senses your pain and wash all the sorrows away.
Planting is therapeutic and also a way of giving back to mother earth for all the medicine you take from her roots and leaves, this could your token of appreciation for all she does.
Plants just like pets have healing properties, talking to them can help you feel much better and the best part they don’t talk back like humans do.
Spiritual healers are empath and we tend to be creatively gifted. Art can be a great outlet so don’t lose sight of your craft whether it’s music, drawing, or writing someone is looking for exactly what you have, shared it and it won’t just help you but it could heal someone else which is what you’ve been called to do.
Prayer connects you to god don’t forget to do it daily, don’t just pray for others pray for yourself, the creator listens and perhaps your healer is closer than you think, he or she just needed a message from God to come to you.
Conclusion
It’s okay to not be okay, healers also need healing. Listen to your body and your heart and take time out to focus on yourself.
